Did you ever give a thought of what nursery rhymes say? Nine years ago, when my son was a baby, I often had to stop myself from singing ROCK A BYE BABY to him. Just the idea that I would be singing softly, DOWN WILL COME BABY CRADLE AND ALL!
There was the old woman that spanked all her kids and then put them all to bed without anything to eat. Little Miss Muffet was trying to eat and got scared of the spider beside her.
Jack fell down and cracked his head open and Jill saw the whole thing. The other Jack was jumping over candlesticks.Even another Jack stuck his thumb in a hot pie and thought he was a good boy when he pulled out a plum.
Just a thought.
